Sweet and Salty Cake

Remember the Whipped Salted Caramel Ganache Icing I shared? The cupcakes were just the taste, texture and pipe-ability (?) test. Here's the real deal:
 

Evidence of my OCD tendencies: I sprinkled the stars and didn't like the look,

so I wiped it all off and went for a rainbow design.

One more time, side by side.

No more sweet and salty for a while now!

Notes and Recipes
- this cake serves 12-15 people easily
- freezes v well
- this cake with this icing combo didn't require a crumb coat
- continue practicing piping (would a flooding consistency royal icing work better?)

- make double the Whipped Caramel Ganache Icing to fill and ice the cake with extra icing left over
